RESULTS FOR HILLSBORO QUIZ

Well our quizzing boys did it again! Yes, they did AWESOME and beyond that. Once again they have done better than they have ever done in any tournament in the past 4 years of their bible quizzing. They came in 2nd place in this tournament, and when it came down to it they were playing for 1st place but they lost the game to Magnolia , which happens to be an incredible team as well. The thing that was so great in this tournament is that our boys and Magnolia neither one in the history of their bible quizzing had been in the position they were in. Meaning they had never been in the very last game playing to see who would win that 1st place. We are very happy for Magnolia 2 team because this was the first tournament they have won a trophy by placing in the top five. Our boys kept us on the edge of our seats throughout this tournament! Then to top it off our very own Haiden came in 1st place for the highest individual score average! Yes, I admit I'm bragging on him, but I can't help it we are so very proud of him. Out of every quizzer there he had the highest average score per game of 100 points per quiz. If you have never seen a Bible quizzing tournament I must admit you are missing out on some excitement. It is not just because our boys quiz and are a part of this, it is just awesome to watch any team go through a quiz and to hear how each child knows the bible verses so well. Even when our boys have lost and been done with a tournament we have still hung around just to see the other teams quiz because it is so exciting. We LOVE this program and think it is the best thing a child could possibly be involved in! Even if our boys never won a trophy they have won so much just by hiding the word of God in their heart and that is worth it all. The boys will go to State Finals June 27-28th and this will determine whether or not they go to Nationals. They will have to place in the top 5 in order to be able to attend Nationals. So far this whole year they have placed no lower than 4th. We will be working harder in the next 4 weeks than we have worked all year to insure that our boys can do their best!
